Rogers County Jail Roster Overview

The Rogers County Sheriff's Office runs the county jail and publishes the inmate roster. Sheriff Scott Walton leads the agency, and detention staff book and house people held in the county. The sheriff posts an inmate roster that links to a mobile-friendly portal at rcs.rtsclients.com. The roster splits into two views. One lists current inmates, and one lists people freed in the last 48 hours. The list shifts as the jail books new arrests and processes releases, so a name can show up or drop off within hours.

The roster covers only people held in the local jail. It does not show inmates sent to state prison after sentencing. It does not list people in federal custody or held by immigration authorities. Someone moved to the Oklahoma Department of Corrections will no longer appear here. A freed person may sit on the 48-hour view for a short time, then leave the roster for good.

How to Use the Rogers County Inmate Roster

The roster opens in any web browser and needs no account. Start at the Current Inmates list to find someone booked into the jail right now. Switch to the 48 Hour Release view to check a recent release.

1. Open the roster portal and choose Current Inmates or 48 Hour Release.
2. Type a last name or first name into the grid search toolbar to filter the list.
3. Scan the results grid, which shows a photo, a booking date, and a name for each person.
4. Click View next to a record to open that inmate's full profile.
5. Read the profile for charges, bond, and court-date details, then note the case number for a deeper court search.

Note: The roster shows a photo column, but a placeholder image may appear when no booking photo is on file for that person.

The roster uses a sortable grid rather than a long form. Most searching happens in the toolbar at the top of the list, where typed text filters the rows. The view you pick decides which date column appears. The table below lays out the fields the portal offers.

Amos G. Ward Detention Center Contact

The county jail operates as the Amos G. Ward Detention Center, also called the Rogers County Detention Center. It sits at 114 S. Missouri Ave. in Claremore. The main sheriff's office phone reaches staff who handle general custody questions. Court no longer takes place inside the jail. All court, including video court, now happens at the courthouse.

Cash bonds are paid at the Night Bailbonds Door on the northwest corner of the building, north of the large garage. That same door is where a person meets a bondsman after hours.

What a Rogers County Inmate Profile Shows

Each View link opens a profile page for one person. The profile pulls together who the person is, when they were booked, and what they were charged with. The two-column table below describes the fields a profile can display. Personal values vary by record, so the descriptions stay general.

Each charge row can link to the matching case on the Oklahoma State Courts Network. That case link ties the jail booking to the formal court charge records filed by the prosecutor. Reading both gives a fuller picture than the roster alone.

Booking and Bond Timing in Rogers County

Booking begins when an officer brings an arrested person to the detention center. Staff record identity, take a photo, and log the charges. The person receives a booking number that follows the case through the jail system. A basic hygiene packet is issued at intake. From there, classification decides where the person is housed inside the facility.

Bond is not always known right away. When someone is booked on a new charge, the paperwork goes to the courthouse and waits for a judge to set the bond amount. The jail says it often does not get that figure until around 4 p.m. Until then, a profile may show a court date of "Not yet set." A person searching for an active warrant should call the warrants division instead, because the roster only lists people already in custody.

Rogers County Inmate Visitation Hours

Visits can be scheduled at the kiosk, online through HomeWAV or Prodigy, or by phone at 1-866-700-4545. A smartphone app on the App Store handles video visits for Android and iPhone users.

Rogers County Inmate Mail and Phone

Most inmate mail now goes through a processing vendor. Letters should be addressed to the inmate's name, Prodigy Solutions-Rogers County, P.O. Box 1498, Chickasha, OK 73018. Mail sent to the jail itself should list the inmate name and add C/O Amos G. Ward Detention Center, 114 S. Missouri Ave., Claremore, OK 74017. Letters can run no more than four pages.

Plain letters, approved cards, and postcards are accepted, while stickers, marker drawings, and scented mail are turned away. Photos may be included, but an inmate can keep only three in the cell, none larger than four by six inches and no Polaroid-style prints.

Inmates receive two free phone calls. Collect-call phones are also available, and the system lets a called number block future calls. The Prodigy phone system handles inmate calls at 1-866-797-5578. All inmate calls are recorded and monitored, with legal calls treated separately.

Note: Legal mail is opened only in the inmate's presence and inspected for contraband, not read, unless staff have authorized reasonable suspicion.

Commissary and Inmate Funds

Money for commissary can be added several ways. Deposits go through JailATM.com under the Amos G. Ward Detention Facility, by phone at 1-870-627-5476, or at the lobby kiosk. The black lobby kiosk takes cash only for commissary books. Funds are released only to the inmate, and a freed inmate must come to the front office with photo identification for any balance check.

Funds added to an account let an inmate buy snacks, hygiene items, and other approved goods from the weekly order.

Timing matters for orders. A deposit must post by Tuesday at 8 a.m. to make that week's order, because commissary is ordered on Tuesday mornings. Orders are non-refundable. If a person is freed before the order arrives, the items can be picked up at the jail.

Visitors may not bring any item to leave for an inmate, since the jail issues a hygiene packet at booking. Medication must carry a prescription label with the inmate's name or have prior jail medical approval. Books and Bibles are no longer accepted unless a publisher or bookstore ships them straight to the inmate. The front counter does not take notes or messages for inmates.

State and Sex Offender Searches

The county roster stops at the jail door. A person sentenced to prison moves into the Oklahoma Department of Corrections system. Use the DOC offender lookup to find statewide sentenced offenders. That search is separate from the county jail roster and covers people across Oklahoma, not just Rogers County.

What the Rogers County Roster Cannot Certify

The roster comes with a plain warning. The detention center says it collects and provides the data for convenience and cannot certify its accuracy or authenticity. Readers are told not to rely on the roster in any manner. The county, the sheriff, the staff, and the vendor accept no liability for actions taken from what it shows.
